DAY 5 - your new intentional life
Welcome to lesson #5: YOUR NEW INTENTIONAL LIFE
-the very last lesson in this FREE course!
First of all, let me congratulate you on making it this far!
Good job! Well done!
By sticking to it and working your way through every task,
you’ve already taken a huge step towards less stress and overwhelm and living an intentional life!
By now you should have:
-gained clarity on your current life situation, what works and what doesn’t
-established what matters most to you in your life, in all areas
-decided what you need more of in your life, and what you need to get rid of
(physically and mentally)
-learned the basics of what French lifestyle is about, and understood how you can use it as a
blueprint for your own life in order to have less stress, less feeling of overwhelm, more
simplicity, more calm, more joy, and joie de vivre!
This is a very good foundation to build your future life on.
Clarity and awareness are key to every change you want to make.
Because changing your life is not mainly about all the external things, like decluttering your home, getting your finances in order, etc,
Yes, they’re part of the picture in the long run,
but if that’s what you focus on, you will end up feeling just as overwhelmed as you’ve been before.
That’s why the main thing I want you to take away
from this course, is this:
It’s all about your mindset. The key to simplifying your life and living with intention
is to learn how to think differently.
This is so important, because if you don’t change your thoughts, everything else is just superficial. Slowing down and decluttering is great, but it won’t matter much in the long run
if you’re not in the right mindset.
Then, after a while, you’re not going to feel any different.
You’ll be back in your old ways of doing things.
It takes a while to change old habits, but it’s a huge step in the right direction
if you manage to start thinking differently about things!
And you have already made that first step by working through this course
and writing down in your journal what matters most to you.
Here’s a summary of the essential thoughts you need to have
in your mind to simplify your life:
1) I know what’s imporant to me
2) The things I own do not define me
3) My time is valuable
4) I know the difference between intentions and expectations
5) I know what’s enough to make me happy and content
To help you with the practical side of these statements or thoughts,
here are some guidelines / recaps to what you have worked through in this course:
1) Knowing what’s important to you means letting go of what is not important and embracing
more of what is. And remember: if you have time to watch Netflix or scroll mindlessly on
social media in the evening, you do have time to that project you want to work on, or
cooking a nice meal. Remember your priorities, and you’ll soon find you have time to do
the things you really want.
2) Having a lot of stuff is not a sign of wealth or success and does not say anything about
your value as a human being. What’s important is your personality and what makes you
happy in life.
3) Do you value your own time and set boundaries with others, or do you freely give away
your time to satisfy other people’s needs? Do you waste time (and maybe even money) on
things of little value? Do you spend more time cleaning and taking care of your physical
stuff than of yourself and your own needs?
4) Goals and intentions are important, - this whole course is about living with more intention!
Just understand that sometimes things are out of your control, so it’s important to find the
balance between what your intentions are and what you expect from a situation or other
people. Try to not be too discouraged if things don’t always go as planned or expected.
When you let go of the things you can’t control, it will be so much easier for you.
5) For many people, a lack of simplicity comes from a feeling of “not-enoughness”: I’m not
thin enough, smart enough, I haven’t got enough money, not enough time ... the list goes on.
There’s always something more to chase, and this ends up making people feel that life is
If this is how you feel, you have the power to stop it! You just need to cultivate a mind of
“enoughness”. So to help you with that, you can ask yourself these questions:
How much do I really need to make me happy? Why do I think (X) will make me happier?
What do I need to sacrifice to have more? Is it worth it, or can I learn to be content with
what I already have?
If you work on your thoughts on a daily basis from now on, and ask yourself these questions when you’re facing a choice in life – big or small! – it will help you make intentional choices in every area of your life. And little by little, you’ll find yourself living the life your truly want: A life of more simplicity, joy and meaning.
Well, that should kick-start you into your new life,
and was the last I wanted to teach you on the subject for now!
I did, however, promise in the previous lesson that I would tell you today about an opportunity to dive deeper into Intentional Living – the French way, so let me tell you right now:
If what you learned in Lesson 4 about the French lifestyle and how it can be a blueprint for your own life, appealed to you, and you want to dive deeper in and learn as much as you can about that, - here’s an opportunity that I think you will enjoy:
I mentioned yesterday that in a few months, I’ll be launching my signature course
“La Vie Adorable Blueprint”,
where the French lifestyle will be in focus.
I want to give you the opportunity now to be among the first to get more information about that
as soon as I’m ready to give it out.
If you find the details of the course interesting, you will then have priority when I open the course up for registration. There will only be a limited number of spots available, and there will be an Early Bird price for the first few who sign up, so if this is something you could be interested in; make sure you don’t miss this opportunity!
Here’s where you can make a preliminary sign-up with (of course!) no obligations for you:
Either way: I hope this FREE course has been of value to you and that you are now ready to start your new and intentional life!
It’s been a pleasure to be of service to you!
Thank you so much for taking part in this 5 day course / challenge!
